LeX Leader - Roundtable

For this project, I served as a Lived Experience Expert on the "Breaking Barriers: Pathways to a Thriving Life Beyond Foster Care" Roundtable hosted by the The National Foster Youth & Alumni Policy Council.

This roundtable focused on safe and stable housing, and expanding access to education, career readiness, and vocational training.

One recommendation I made was procuring a government-issued assessment of life skills (driving a car, scheduling appointments, applying for jobs, etc) to all transition-age foster youth, and create a database of practical life skill tutorials for youth to access and educate themselves as needed.
